HYPNOTHERAPY

If you’re ready to go deep and get to the root

cause of your issues, so things can change

for good, then you’re in the right place!

Hypnotherapy is a type of therapy intervention that’s used by a therapist who’s trained in one or more hypnotherapy interventions. I’ve personally been trained in Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT) and Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT), so what I’ll describe below about a hypnosis session with me is based on my training in these particular modalities.

How We Learn and Remember

To help you conceptualize embedded beliefs and how hypnosis helps identify these beliefs and the connection to our difficulties, first consider that most of our daily actions are driven by habits of thought and routines we’ve created around these thoughts.

For example, early on when you’d first learned to tie your shoes, you’d applied laser sharp focus on this task, focusing on each step until you’d achieved it. Once there’d been enough success, laser sharp focus wasn’t necessary since you’d mastered the process. Nowadays, you’re tying shoes without conscious thought and might not look down as you’re tying

A few other examples include the process of learning lines as an actor or perfecting a dance routine. Your participation with these first started off as something requiring you to be intensely focused on and conscious of while practicing. Likely, you’d been self-evaluating, getting outside feedback, and refining throughout your learning of the role or the dance.

Over time and with repetition, patterns of thought and action around these activities become more automatic and instinctual for you. But learning new things and practicing always begins as something you do with absorbed attention before it’s done instinctually, or at least with less conscious thought involved.

The practicing, the visualizing, the refining, and your level of commitment to repetition. But it isn’t widely known how valuable it can be to adapt many of these steps in addressing and responding to the effects of anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, and many more issues.
